Our 3-day show in Palmer, Alaska is perhaps our most competitive. The mountains afar make the fair grounds a breath taking venue. And the easy commute from our international airport in Anchorage makes the show easily accessible to those in the lower 48. So there’s no surprise that a good handful of handlers and their highly exhibited show dogs compete in our community; more at this particular show than any other.
Now today a certain song kept playing through my head. That would be Hank Williams Jr’s “I’m For Love”. And in particular a certain line kept cycling over and over: “…and I’m against fishing in the rain”.
Well, of course we were not really fishing, but we certainly were in the rain.
It was wet, but we were pleased to score a Terrier Group 3 for our trouble…
