Raining again… or is that still?
Rain looks ugly from inside of a window. But it’s quite nice with nothing in between. It would be easy to skip the whole evening dog walk. But imagine the mess Thing One & Thing Two could make if left on their own without their daily exercise…
So really there is no reason to think about this further. I just drive directly from work to the trailhead, and away we go!
Now the scene is changing rapidly here in Alaska. Just two or three days ago my camera was met with the fading end of season look; all rather unimpressive. Now the sparse canopy of a my favorite birch grove is pale greens and golds, and the tight ground cover below has turned to a pinky rust that shimmers under the rain making it all the much more delightful. …But I hesitate to carry my camera in the rain.
Really if is wasn’t for my Kerries, I may have missed it. But they love their evening dog walk rain or shine…
