There will never be words enough to express my gratitude to Lois Grier for being the first to welcome me into the Kerry family, and for entrusting me with my first Kerry girl. For those of us who are not fortunate enough to live where Kerries reign, our first view may be on social media or over the internet. The later was the case for me, as I stumbled upon Lois’ website Krisma Kerries. And from there Lois introduced me to her partner Jana Deaton of Beltane Kerries. As you take a look at their websites, you will come to understand why I have chosen this image to represent my earliest experiences with the Kerry Community.
When you stop to think about it, the night sky is one thing we all share… It makes no difference where you live we are all under the same night sky, though I admit the big dipper is in a bit different location in Alaska as compared to Maine. I have no idea whether Lois or Jana thought about any of that while choosing the backdrop for their websites. But nonetheless, I think it reflective of their all-inclusive welcoming manner that I have experienced from the start.
